The importance of energy saving

Purchasing low consumption equipment is an investment that pays off over time.

Given the current cost of energy, considering the general average price and including additional costs such as network services, transportation and management charges, taxes, excise duties, VAT, etc., we used for the examples a cost for one kWh1 of 0,370 Euros2. For this reason, today more than ever, it is important to design and sell products that combine the high-level performance required by the market with reduced energy consumption and respect for the environment.

This is why we carefully design our products and daily test them before the delivery to our customers; because offering reliable and efficient, eco-sustainable, and low energy consumption products is the most important part of our work, as well as the most rewarding.

How much you can save with low energy consumption equipment?

Using energy-efficient equipment allows you to aiming at the same time three very important goals:

  • Reduction of energy bill costs
  • Pollution reduction
  • Counteracting climate change and global warming

What about an entire line of energy-efficient products? We are sure that in any professional kitchen there are at least a refrigerator cabinet and a freezer cabinet, as well as a refrigerated counter and maybe a glass door display cabinet. It is therefore easy to conclude that the savings illustrated above are actually even greater, because they must be considered for each of the appliances used in a business.

You have to consider the savings for each of the appliances used in a business to calculate the real amount of the advantage of a low-consumption equipment investment.

Let’s assume the simultaneous use, within the same business, of all the appliances taken as an example in these pages, so that we may have a reliable valuation of the savings that can be obtained.

(1) Kilowatt-hour: is a composite unit of energy equal to one kilowatt (kW) sustained for one (or more) hour. An electrical oven with a consumption of 1000 Watt (that is 1 kW) turned on for an hour, has a consumption of 1 kWh; but if is turned on for three hours, its consumption is 3 kWh.

(2) Reference: values taken from the average Single National Price (PUN) of the last ten days of August 2023, equal to 0,132 Euros/kWh, averaging for professional users in the reference period between 0,160 Euros/kWh and 0,232 Euros/kWh, and adding additional costs such as network services, transportation and management charges, taxes, excise duties, VAT, etc.
